The Leaking Roof...
"Music is like water. It’s adaptable. It’ll start dripping in the house from raining too much outside. And eventually it’ll fill that house. It’ll never be what you want it to be; it’ll never stay contained."
- Quote from a Local Cut Interview with eMCee Tre Hardson (Interview by Casey Jarman).
Tre's been living in Portland for the last two years while focusing on being a Dad and getting down to DJing. You might know him from some group named Ozomatli, or how about as a founding member of some other group named the Pharcyde, for that matter.
Another Notable Quote:
"The thing is, success and failure is a continuum. It ebbs and flows. You’ll have high success one day, and then you’ll have that low. And during that low is when you’ve gotta be creative, you gotta do something. Because you can get depressed. But when it’s good again, ride the wave like you’re the best surfer, man. Keep your wetsuit on. The wave is coming."
I like that. I like that a lot.

I Have Many Questions...
I'd like to write more on this when I have the time. Main question for evaluation: Does a sub-culture predicated on being perpetually labeled and affiliated with being "last-placed," losers," "worst," "dumb," and/or "disgusting," eventually find solace in the world only if these pretenses are kept up through parody, jokes, defamation, etc? Literally, how sad do you have to be to join in as a Juggalo? It's a self consuming cycle.
The Parody:
The Realness*:
* Watch this all the way through to really see the parody in full effect.

LIVING BOOKS...
A totally, completely awesome piece of work that doubles as an ad for the New Zealand Book Council. Word on the street is that it took 8 months of cutting and laying for this to get made. Pretty, radical, sound stuff.
